As Torontonians are out jogging, biking, rollerblading, boating, hiking, swimming and picnicking in this glorious weather, the city is a buzz with an exciting array of events, concerts, festivals and international competitions.  As Canada’s largest city we have no shortage of activities to keep you and your whole family entertained in July.

After a citywide celebration for Canada Day, July promises to be an unforgettable month in the GTA.  We’ve put together a list of some of the larger attractions to help you prepare your schedule.

Concerts

U2 – Air Canada Centre – July 7th
If you missed the band when they were last here 10 years ago, take advantage of this opportunity to see these world-renowned Irish rockers this time.  Their last tour of North America was the largest grossing concert series of all time.

Pan Am Para Pan Games – July 7 – 26

There is definitely something for everyone at these games no matter what sport or activity you are into.  Our city welcomes over 7000 athletes from across the Americas to compete in 36 game sports.  These games are unique because they include the usual Olympic events like swimming, diving, track and field and cycling, but also competitions like bowling, golf, handball, roller-figure skating, roller speed skating, sailing, squash, water ski and wakeboarding.  

Festivals

Toronto Fringe Festival – July 1 – 12

This festival is the cities largest grassroots theatre festival and features an incredible assortment of theatre genres.

Summerlicious – July 3 – 19

Over 200 local restaurants across the city will participate this year, what a great opportunity to check out the amazing array of culinary delights.

Beaches International Jazz Festival – July 10 - 26

A must see for jazz enthusiasts this event features a dynamic assortment of musical talent performing on multiple stages in the heart of the lakeside area.

This list only skims the surface of fantastic events taking place next month in our great city.  With so much happening, it makes it hard to decide so better get planning.
