Each month, the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) releases a MarketWatch Report. The following statistics were obtained from the September 2010 Report and make comparisons to the same period one year ago.

Unit sales for September (year over year) increased by 5% to 39 units.

As of September 30, in York Mills (C12), there were 130 active market listings, a decrease of 16% from the previous year’s statistics (155). Compare this statistic to the total volume sold for the month. September saw an increase of 26% in total volume sold relative to last year and the median house price increased by 9.7%.

What do these facts mean to you?

  • There are fewer active homes on the market.
  • Property value in the York Mills (C12) area is increasing quickly.
